There is no need to worry if your English is not perfect. For many of our team members, English is also a second language, and we always make sure we understand each other clearly.
What Conditions Does Medisch Centrum Tilburg Treat?
Our medical team consists of specialized phlebologists, proctologists, and skin therapists. You can visit our clinic for:

All examinations and treatments can be conducted entirely in English.
Do I Need Insurance to See a Doctor?
At our clinic, we treat both patients with Dutch health insurance and patients without Dutch insurance.
- Patients with foreign insurance will receive an invoice directly from us and can request reimbursement from their own insurer.
- Patients with Dutch health insurance are advised to contact our clinic to check whether a referral from a general practitioner (GP) is required. In the Netherlands, many medical procedures require a GP referral to qualify for reimbursement.

Expats and International Workers
The Eindhoven region and North Brabant are home to many expats and international workers. Some people may only stay in the Netherlands for a few months.
If you are experiencing acute anal complaints, such as haemorrhoids, we can often provide treatment quickly. Treatment for varicose veins may require a longer treatment plan and recovery period.
If your stay in the Netherlands is limited, we recommend calling our clinic first. Based on our waiting list and the expected recovery time, we can advise whether treatment can be completed during your stay or whether it would be better to postpone it.
What Can I Do About Haemorrhoids or Other Anal Conditions?
If you have been experiencing anal discomfort for a longer period or if symptoms keep returning, we recommend scheduling a consultation with our proctologist.
During your appointment:
- You can explain your symptoms in English.
- The doctor will perform a medical examination.
- After the examination, the findings will be discussed with you.
In some cases, treatment can be performed immediately during the same visit, for example in the case of haemorrhoids. All procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, meaning you can go home the same day. You will receive clear aftercare instructions. Pain relief usually consists of standard medication such as paracetamol.

What Can I Do About Varicose Veins?
Varicose veins can cause discomfort, heaviness, or cosmetic concerns. At Medisch Centrum Tilburg, we offer modern treatment techniques, including:
- Sclerotherapy (injection treatment for small veins)
- Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT)
- Müller technique (mini phlebectomy)
After scheduling a consultation by phone, the phlebologist will perform a duplex ultrasound examination. Based on this assessment, you will receive treatment advice and a clear cost estimate.
Treatment will be scheduled on a separate date. Injection treatments are minor procedures. Laser or Müller treatments are performed under local anaesthesia. After the procedure, you will return home accompanied by someone.

Our skin therapist offers a range of treatments, including:
- Acne treatment
- Chemical peels
- Treatment for couperose
- Electrical epilation
- Laser hair removal
- Vascular laser treatment
